It appears you have studied up on religion. It wasn't a bad read, and I read through the whole thing, I just think this wasn't my cup of tea. I was hesitant about some of the sections, but found myself reading through to see where it was going. It's a deep subject and many have views that will not line up with your story. Please keep is going and add a hook to keep the reader wondering...

It may come down to the thoughts on your page that you share years from now with your family..."I remember the pandemic like it was yesterday..." Keep writing and making memories-
ooooh. I love the dialogue- of flirtation...and then how the discussion went on to include the stranger in town.....now they are collaborating on an interest. This is really good. And, I really enjoyed reading what you have written thus far. Keep it going.
Good draw. This isn't my thing, but I did think about checking back to see what happens to the teenagers. It has me hoping that there is a positive outcome for both-and worried that in truth, it'll be negative as cancel culture seems to be the new mantra in the media.

I thought this was going to be boring, but I was clearly wrong. I was cleverly entertained. Loved the play on words and the comparison with the magician. This was written well and was a pleasure reading.
