I enjoyed this story and it perfectly encapsulated what a good short story should do - enough detail to make the reader interested without having to explain the situation in microscopic detail. You could also have called the story 'Be careful what you wish for'. The twist towards the end of the story was quite clever and well thought out with the biblical reference adding depth to the religious theme that your story explored.
Great character Harry. Would love to hear a lot more about Corny's adventures. You could have a series of tales about how he deals with various aspects of everyday life. I think that given his age you could focus on how he deals with modern life and the frustrations that somebody of his age would have with recent inventions etc.
