YEA! REALLY, REALLY enjoyed this! Over all, very well written and vivid! I really dug the almost "throw back" style of the idea. You promised shades of The Twilight Zone and you definitly delivered. Short, sweet and too the point. I sincerely hope there's more where this came from. Sickly amusing...haha.
This is why I love flash fiction. I WANNA KNOW WHAT HAPPENED! This story is a good example of giving detail but leaving the edges just bleary enough to enhance the mystery. However, I would have gladly traded a few of the surrounding details for more about Deana. Overall though I really enjoyed reading this!
