Michelle, this was a delightful read for me. Are you going to develop this theme? There are several choices in this work. The book theme, the rainy day theme, the dancing in the rain theme. I felt that separately they would be terrific. These are only suggestions from a "not a real reviewer." I just pretend I am.
Regards,
LIS.

An excellent article. It hits the spot. I am guilty of nearly all of the ten. The more I learn about punctuation and grammar, the less I know.

You guide the reader with just enough humour and capture the attention and direct it through to the end.

I think I may shudder a little if you came into my port!
Thank you Emerin,
Regards,
LIS

I read your pieces when they come up and they help me so much. I am now aware of this'anonymous' thing and I thank you for that. I am new to this site and the Internet and this is a valuable learning tool for me. I will be very careful how I handle things. I have not copied or disseminated anything yet, but I could have.
Thank you from LIS

Review of The Crossroad

I gave a 4, not because it is not good enough; it is an excellent piece. Your presentation needs to be looked at by you; stand back, deep breath and then be objective. It took me a while to rearrange my work so that it was more visually appealing. It seems that readers are no longer willing to read large blocks of work; unfortunately us writers(and you are one) have to tailor our stuff. Sorry, LUV, keep in contact,
Regards, LIS.

Review of Songs for My Dogs

I was a dog trainer in a previous part of my life, you are doing what most of clients refused to recognise; interaction dog level is just the most fun you can have. With your bi-polar, I expect you are a bit tough sometimes and have great 'weepies' with them when you come out. 'S,okay, they love you; they just plain ordianary love you. We're the 'supreme race'? Our animals teach us many great lessons - with acceptance and love. And so subtly.
Oh, by the way, please call it a 'check' chain, not a 'choke' chain.
Dog is a nice place to worship.

Review of For A Genius...

Hi, firstly, 'drug'? try 'dragged'; you really dragged me into this story. It has the makings of a longer story; is this by any chance a 'tryout' chapter, if it is, it's got 'legs'
Most of all if you expand it have fun doing it; because if you don't have fun, then we won't either.
I found it witty in a dry way, and compelling.
Regards, LIS.

Very witty and well constructed. A different slant on the usual Fairy tales.
Personally I had a good giggle, and called my partner Bob to come and have a read, he had a good laugh, too.
I'll see you in the Team forum soon, when Simmer calls the roster. Bye now LIS.

Review of Dare to Dream

Not being a poet I can't give you the review that this poem deserves. I will tell you that I liked it very much.
It is sad, yet uplifting. It was a privelige to visit your portfolio. I'll be back soon.
Regards, LIS.

Yes, well I knew I was hopeless in the WDC. Even with all your clicky places I still can't find things! I didn't even know that you could view your forum posts until 4 days ago! Dumb, Huh!
How about you stick Learner plates on us? I'm very good at finding the Support forums!
Fun Quiz; thank you it was good to try.*Smile*(that only took me a fortnight to learn!)

I liked this little poem; it was a light hearted read.
It felt balanced and spanned well. You chose a strange subject, and you succeeded; with style.

Great!Entertaining and educational, about his body, I mean. I felt sad, yet happy that Archie saw the world in all its beauty.

Review of A DREAM

I don't write poetry, my partner, Bob does. I do however recognise when someone is writing from the heart or loneliness or pain. You wrote with all those. You can write poetry. Well done.

Judy,I was a nurse many years ago; and I have been with many people who were dying. I always felt privileged to be with them. It's as if they selected me. You obviously were selected. When people are dying they often have clarity of vision that is unexplainable. Do Ken justice and make this a real story of honour and sharing. You have so much to share from your work. Go for the heart of your memories. Well, that wasn't a review was it? I felt I had to pass on what I felt. When your points come through I'll send them back. This is not why I wrote it.

I found this article both interesting and informative. I now have a much better understanding of the art of successful reviewing. I write, and as I write, I try to make each a little better. I will apply that thought to my reviewing. Other readers deserve my full attention and the best of myself at the time. Your article was much appreciated.

I can't write a true critique because I don't know how. But I did like this story. I could see the characters. I want to ask you two things, one, would it help if there was a bit more pen? Two could it make a poem? It was a clear, easy to read story. Thanks.

That was an absolute hoot! You lot who create these madlibs are the funniest nuttiest people I've come across. I am going have to keep madlibs as a special reward for myself, otherwise I'll never get out of here alive! Sorry, more a testimonial than a real review.

That was a riveting piece of work. I would never have believed that polling day could be such a nail-biting exercise. I do not have skill critique you work properly, but I'm sure someone will. Well done! I understood American politics this time. I live in Australia.

Being new to writing.com I have reviewed a few items with a lack of skill. Sites such as this give me a much better understanding of what I should say or not say. You are right about the 'false hope' it does seem to be a human failing, though. Maybe I can learn to be honest and objective.

I am new to writing.com and this the first poem I looked at. It struck a cord within me. I do not have the ability to constructively criticise your work, but is there more to come? It feels that there is. I hope you get lots of reviews, good ones from those more skilled than I.
