This was fun! I could tuck into to some lemon cake after reading it. I was wondering why it was in this style and then I see it's for a competition. Cool beans!

My first review so I send it with kindness and appreciation.
Hope you get something from this.

I really like the " wings so white" description. It paints a nice image.

When I read it aloud,

My fear of heights keeps me,
From making a leap of faith,

I spoke it with a different tempo

My fear of heights, it keeps me,
From making leaps of faith,


This was something I just noticed, but obviously with poetry like this, it'll be so personal to you. Good luck with more poetry. :)
I just put it down as 3 as there are descriptions that are commonly used in poetry, so it would be nice to see something more distinct from you personally as a poet. To see how you see things, it can be hard to express this, bound within a rhyming tempo sometimes too.
