Wow! What a great, refreshing, interesting piece!! So often people-watching is called 'creepy', and as an avid participator with thousands of pages of notes on strangers, I beg to differ. We're all students of the human condition. I thought this was very, very well written and extremely interesting.

Absolutely lovely story! So beautifully written! You described the characters without really describing them, I'm jealous of how you can do that. I'm sure I imagine them and the setting different from you but not TOO different. Such an amazing piece.

Interesting poll idea. One thought about the site in general ... there seems to be a LOT of emphasis on newbies and not on anyone else.

Review of Your Today

I think this is a very well written poem ... it's always a bonus when poems have a flow and pattern to them. I like the first three paragraphs the best, especially the first. I think that the last one is a little bit out of place ... is that how to describe it? The last two lines is a saying (one that I'm not too keen on) on its own, and the poem itself I think is too good to have that as the last line.

All in all, I really like this poem. It's totally relatable to a lot of people and I'm glad I got to read it.

Interesting! I like the second paragraph a lot, that is the same in Canada. It's a lovely, well-written poem with a great message. 'A heritage lost' ... that is something that I find amazing how people in the big business/uneducated cannot value it! England was the most powerful empire in the world ... that's why the whole world speaks English! People are so silly.
I absolutely love England though, and have seriously considered moving there. Wonderful poem.

Review of Sunset

This reminds me so painfully of what's happened in my life - but thankfully, I did have the love before the loss. The last line is absolutely devastating and desperately sad. Beautifully written.

Review of Birth

Very sweet. The fourth line seems a little short, it doesn't go with the flow of the poem - it needs an extra syllable somewhere. Something like "the little room was very bright" or "a little room, it's very bright," if you were keeping with the a's at the beginning.
Anyway, I liked it. It reminded me of something in a little baby or children's book, with a page an illistration for every line.

Show me proof that anything said in the bible is not made up stories and was not edited by a patriarchal society run by old men in Europe. Read up on the fascinating culture of India and you'll see there is a whole lot more to our past (5000 BC first written scriptures of Buddhism ... and that's after being passed down for 10's of thousands of years orally). Societies in South America, China, Africa and native america have nothing to do with christianity until invaded so I think the world was doing just fine before the bible came along.

It is an interesting subject to study, as I have, but I believe that the bible is based on stories, legends and myths. Scientific proof? None.

I think there might well be secret organizations, but basially who I feel really is running things on the global stage are the big businesses (all of whom have money), RICH, connected businessmen, people with money who employ violence and above all : RICH MEN. No matter what country you live in, it's the people with money who have all the power.

Review of Ask About Love

Interesting idea! I love the flow of this poem, and how different love is to everybody. It's interesting at the negative last line of the young couple stanza ... and I don't quite understand the meaning of the last line, if I'm going to 'analyse' but, I loved the feeling I got reading it, and isn't that what matters the most? I enjoy your other poems too, I think you're a fantastic writer.

Review of Love's Token

Ren,

Beautiful, beautiful poem. I love your language and am in awe of your rhyming (something I simply cannot do). It's a lovely piece, and I can relate very strongly to all the feelings. The part that sticks out for me most is

"The time we had filled with sun and rain
but I'll never regret playing the game.

You play it well, an expert with my heart.
You make love an incredible art."

Thanks for sharing!

It gives me a beautiful feeling, and how am I to critique something born out of feeling and emotion? Wonderful work, great job!

I very much like the use of colourful language, obviously you have a talent and passion for writing. Though I wasn't particularly engrossed, or compelled by it, it was an interesting read. It sounds sort of like song lyrics. Sometimes the mind just wanders, and I can appreciate your getting it into words. Good job.

This is very sweet, and I'm sure everybody has experiences something to this variation during high school or university. I remember lots of times where I wish I said something. If only I could go back and see what would happen. Are you a girl or boy? That would be interesting to know. Great job!

Very dark, but very beautiful. I especially love the line "your ear will never hear my thoughts", which is true for many different situations. It's very interesting and I think this is very well written and I'm sure nearly everybody can relate in one way or another.

Review of My Medicine

This is magical. It's so beautiful, and the most perfect description of love I've read. "like you were built specifically for me" is a wonderful line, as is "am I greedy for wanting more of you?". This makes me ache for the one I loved. It's a beautiful and warm poem and I feel lucky to have read it.

I write to remember. I write my experiences in colourful ways and write so that I can look back and see where my head was at. Awsome poll idea!

Great poll! I'm 'internationally coloured' (beautiful choice of words!) and I love it. I couldn't imagine another way. I travelled with my family when I was younger, and have never stopped. I've volunteered in countries, travelled the touristy spots (least favourite) and getting lost in forgien countries is one of my favourite pass times. My favourite places to travel are India, Zambia, Thailand, Greece, Tanzania and Maldives. Do you travel much?
