Leanne's journey from her youth where she believed in her psychic abilities to getting older where she rationalized them until she ran into the real thing was logical and well crafted. I enjoyed it.

Sharp, crisp and began and ended with lines about hell. Tight writing. Well done.

Review of Ptiček Pero🐦

I was afraid that Peno was going to choose to stay and then freeze to death. I much prefer your ending about accepting temporary change in the hopes of long-term happiness. Good poem.

Bala sem se, da se bo Peno odločil ostati in nato zamrzniti do smrti. Veliko raje imam vaš konec glede sprejemanja začasnih sprememb v upanju na dolgoročno srečo. Dobra pesem.

Review of Dear Jesus

I love it when Christians show the effort behind the smile. Jesus is not a magic word that we say and then we cease being impacted by depression, despair, struggles, problems, and battles with our own inherent desire to do what we want. This is real and I resonate with it. Thank you.

Review of Burger and Fries

There are two potential themes here: one, that there is a guiding presence to the universe that interacts with our lives, or two, that we can create the reason for random decisions by being vigilant in our efforts to help others. Wars have been rationalized over the difference between these two themes, but they are both beautiful and can both be derived from the same two paragraphs.

Nicely written.

Review of Perfect Day
Review by Loyd Gardner

Many books start of by setting the scene and giving a day-in-the-life look at the characters. When well done, this is my favorite part of the book. I know I am odd when I feel a mild disappointment as the plot begins to emerge. This story is a wonderful example of what I like about those writings and I enjoyed it greatly.

I also learned a new word--spruiking. I did one project in Australia some years ago but was only there for a few weeks and not long enough to pick up what the internet definition called 'archaic Australian slang'. As someone whose adult children frequently accuse of using archaic Southern American slang, I appreciate a fellow 'archaic'.

Very enjoyable flight of fancy. Impressive how you squeezed Emily's transformation so well into such a short story. I liked it.
