Once upon a time there was a statue made out of stone. Everyday, he would sit and watch as the people of the town came by. One day, a little bird decided to build a nest on his shoulders. He was ecstatic. No-one had ever built a family around him. Because of that, the bird made him smile and he was able to witness the birds growing up and became quite good friends. Until finally, it was time for the birds to leave the nest. They had grown old with the statue and just as he did watched over the people of the town. But it was time to move on and start a family of their own. The statue said goodbye and off the birds went, welcoming a new world full of life and wonder. The statue still sits and watches over the people of the town, waiting for the day he too could fly away and be free.
