Your poem really touched my heart and soul, my son has Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy and feels out of place a lot other then with me or some of his uncle's. I was tearfully reading this and can tell you it is AWESOME for someone to write this out from their heart. Thank you for sharing this very well written poem. This is a very emotional and touching story. It made me visualize what was happening as you told your story. It is so heart breaking to lose a loved one. I am glad that you were there to hold his hand and sing his song. I pray that he is in heaven among the angels.

First, I would just like to tell you that Religion is MAN MADE. The bible that I read does not give you anything BUT Choices! You can either chose to believe or you can chose not to believe.
Secondly, I feel very sorry for those who DO NOT believe. You will never no true happiness without knowing what GOD has done for us.
Thirdly, Lucifer believed in himself also, which caused his fall from HEAVEN. He also had that I,me, mine, attitude. I truely hope that you allow your children to make their own choices. Children only learn what they live.
Last but not least, I was also raised Catholic and as I got older I realized that I didn't AGREE with all Catholic beliefs. I didn't want to go to church for someone to tell me how to live my life. My attitude was similar to yours but then I realized that we all need to be accountable for what we chose to say or do in our lives. Ezekiel 18:20 It took me many years down the road to ask Jesus to come into my heart. I found out that he is the way. If you are having issues about the Bible, you need to go to THE someone who will listen,Jesus! John 3:16 will explain to you how much God loves us.
I will pray that your heart becomes soften so that the Holy Spirit will enter and you will learn Our Fathers will in your life.

It is so hard to lose a parent, hang in there! I enjoyed reading your feelings about your dad. Cancer is a nasty disease and I HATE it! I have also lost people I loved to Cancer. Your dad is Home and someday you will see him again.
