A scary but compelling view of an addict's world. "Dope Fiend" speaks in a very realistic way just what goes through the mind of a drug addict.
The broken relationships and the sheer terror of being on a collision course with utter destruction with no way of escape are senin Keaton Foster's words. Thanks for the read.

At one time or another, just about every writing teacher around has suggested going to the airport to people watch.
You've followed that advice and done a fairly good job of sharing your observations.
Of course, we don't know about the man who just missed his plane, but...

I loved the imagery on this poem. Your words took me to that air show and enabled me to feel what someone in that crowd would be seeing. I covered an unlimited hydroplane race on the Ohio River in Evansville, IN, for years for years and this poem took me back to a few of the airshows which were included as entertainment at those events.
