I'd really love to know the back-story to this. Your voice is really good, strong, descriptive and fluid. Plot is solid, Rose truly believes that the only way to salvation is to die in the flames, atonement for being a vampire, I presume. Richard, who I guess is her lover, has found another way for her, a way to become human, but she thinks he's only an illusion, and continues into the flames.
I really loved the ending. All that was left was the sound of her heartbeat? Awesome ending. Great job!!
