Very well done!
Unfortunately, I am not a good enough poet to comment on your excellent prose. I just started poetry last year and have a lot to learn.
I love it and would recommend you find a professional poet on site to help with your prose.
But, as far as I am concerned.
It shines and leaves a tear in the corner of my eye.

Very descriptive and reads very smoothly. You have a good writing style with very few barbs to distract the reader. making things flow well is part of being a good writer and you ae will on your way! thanks for sharing.

Beautifully done, I give you highest accolades.
I visited the Normany cemetery on June 6, 1964. While standing there I thought, "Twenty years ago, all these brave men died for freedom."
On June 6, 1984, as a Ranger we made a reenactment of the Ranger's invasion. I told my self then, "You were here in 1964, old fart, 20 years goes by fast doesn't it."
In 2004, my son, USMC, visited and had the same heart stopping feeling I did.
Thanks for sharing this!!!
I agree with you 100 percent on this one. We need to get our country back to what our Founding Fathers started it off to be!
One term, go home, let someone else do the job. Perhaps there will then be no professional politicians then, it wouldn't be worth it to them.
You came, you conquered, you won!!!
sounds familiar, sort of.
I think Caesar said - Vani-Vidi-Vici - I came, I saw, I conquered!
I guess your's would be - Vani-Vici-Victus.
I like that.
Thanks for sharing.
A very sad but very moving poem at the same time.
I don't know how to do this type of poetry yet so I can't
honestly critique it. It is well done, very sincere, and
has lots of meaning, so i guess that is a critique of sorts.
Thanks for sharing!
I enjoyed it very much.

This is a great twist on Snow White
I love the part
"Mirror, mirror on the wall," I call for its advice.
I paid a lot for this dumb dress. Was it worth the price?
The mirror looks me over and has me turn around
but as I'm turning I can see the mirror has a frown.
Pure delight.
And the caboose!!!
hilarious.
Excellent poetry!

I love this poem. It brings out a lot in the author.
My favorite part is
The sun meanders lazily across
the sky, each minute painting
new cave art on the towering
edifices , unappreciated by
the inhabitants, but beautiful
in the eyes of the universe.
You obviously see what many others do not!
