This poem can be taken in many different ways, which is why I think it is so excellent. It is about a person trying to escape the world through means of going to their "happy place". For me, that's when I read a book. For you, it sounds as though you mean being underwater. I hope you write more poems as excellently worded as this one. :)

Hi! I saw you in the "Read a newbie" section and thought I'd drop a review. I really enjoyed reading this story of a rose. The thought of a rose being aware of its own thorns never occurred to me. I've oftentimes wanted to write stories about flowers, but I never ended up doing it because I was afraid it would be boring. You just proved this wrong by writing this short little story about a rose removing its own thorns. It really made me think. My only complaint would be the rose's longest section of dialogue. The part that begins with: My thorns only hurt others. I had a hard time understanding what the rose was saying. I think if you had made it slightly more to the point, this piece of writing would have been more effective. Good job overall, though. I hope you keep writing stories like these.
