Hi, firstly many thanks for your kind words about my poem...I came straight to your port to return the favour.
This is very strong and made me quite emotional. I sense that this is written from personal experience, an experience that we share but in my case I am Dad. I sense your anger and sense of betrayal, the impotence that comes with the role of innocent bystander. The reason for my emotions is not for myself but rather that you have captured a sense of how I think my daughter may have felt all those years ago.
I particularly like :
"He's thinking its alright,
when it clearly isn't,
taking up our light.
Secluding us."
Because this comes straight from the soul I wouldn't change a word...let it stand and speak for itself....poetry is a great release.
Please keep it up.
