Your story is very heartwarming. Your cat did not react in the way I thought a cat would react. When I was a teenage, I had a cat that I bathed and I ended up scratched. I really did enjoy your story. My advice is to read your story out loud to yourself. I find that when I read what I have written out loud I can spot mistakes. For example the 3rd sentence from the end. "By this washing was over." Was it supposed to be But, this washing was over.
