A few words describing characters and settings would help the reader keep track of the characters more easily. And, I do mean just a few words.
The plot and ending gives adequate foreshadowing of the final twist, but perhaps if it were a bit more subtle the surprise of the ending would be more surprising.
Everything is a matter of balance and making the foreshadowing too subtle would make the ending sound tacked on....still a bit more subtle would make the ending twist stronger.
"Angel of Death" is a wonderful little gem. The Main-Character's problem and hope of a solution, conflict, suspense and a final resolution that promises more....all concise a and packed into a few words.
When I read "Tears for Two," tears filled my eyes, because I was laughing so hard. The incredibly emotional beginning twisted into the perfect punch-line.
Yes, yes, there are some things you could do to make the opening stronger.....but there is very little you could do to make the final four lines funnier.
So, the one rating aspect I can give is Enjoyable.
