That is a really emotional piece which shows the love in every line. I find that the use of the repetitive "Don't cry, Silver" to be gripping and it draws your attention to each verse. It shows the love and the emotional connection towards the person this was written for.

The punctuation is to me correct and it seems that you've used excessive amount of emotive language to bring forth the vivid imagery of this piece.
