Your story was a great read for me. The enthusiasm in the the boy's pulse was vibrant... I could almost visualise Anthony running for a cause, which only his little sister Aria knew ! It struck a chord in my memory, about a HINDI Movie ( an Indian language ), about a boy who ran to win a race to save his brother & his middle class school from the humiliation of losing to the ultra modern schools of his town. In the end he succeeded with a lot of applause.

Though I do write poetry, but I do not have an idea of the format..What do you mean by 7-6-7-6 format. Where can I read about the techniques of writing poetry ?

The story is just awesome...I had goosepimples a s I read through the piece...The pace , matter, content everything was so well matched...Re-incarnation is a subject which has puzzled even Philosophers...but the greatest delight of such a re-birth tales comes from unfulfilled love in the past birth....this has been rightly depicted in your story..

I really on't know how to explain how much value this poem has for me.....I have an elderly Grandmother-in-law staying with me. for the last 14 yrs....she is 84 yrs. old, lost her elder daughter & son-in- law, but still has the spirit to survive...She has become quite frail, & I know a day will come when it will be the evening of her life ....I think I will miss her spirit to weather the scores of winter that you have mentioned...

This was a wonderful description of a break from the routine monotony of life....I stay in Kolkata and a I know what a summer vacation to Sikkim means....A lovely pristine valley, tea gardens and hills tucked away in the lap of north eastern nature...Summer also brings about the blossoms of Rhododendrons all along the winding hilly pathways ...Away from the madding crowd...a poet's mind becomes besotted with the beautiful nature and eloquent words have given taken birth in form of the poem "Summer Holidays".

Why was the tenant so cruel was the question haunting me ? Did Vanessa guess that Adam was suffering from some mental illness..say "obsessive compulsive disorder " ?Is it why she left him ? The romanticism in his cruel nature gave me goosepimples...Adam had become a habitual killer by the time he finished off with Vanessa... What was the role of the bird here ?
All said and done, the description of terror & horror has been very well depicted here. At times , i had to hold my breath for "what next ?"

Actually you have so wonderfully described that every man is an island by himself..we do separate each other from the torments and despair around us... The vast sea of struggle around us only make us more detached from our fellow human beings..as we sometimes see our dreams as waves crashing down on the shores of an island......

Good description about beauty...i think "BEAUTY LIES IN THE EYES OF THE BEHOLDER "....this was a small quotation which was told to me when i once wrote a poem about "BEAUTY", some 26 years ago !!! I think the nature around us is much beautiful as you have aptly described.

Your feelings are very true ..."good times never last, only memories remain,"......but don't you think that is why we have sweet memories....to make us feel good to make us remember the joys we shared with someone. Again as you have mentioned comes a CHANGE, when you will see that you are sharing a good time with yet another loved person...So we have to keep on looking for good times ahead of us and savour the past moments..
