I tend not to be very appreciative of form....primarily because it is often the case that the thought (the words) get lost in trying to maintain form (and isn't that the purpose
of writing -- to write and express)....

Did you know that nearly 40% of all homeless individuals are veterans? How sad that we have developed the ability to turn away from the same person who carried our grief and fought our monsters....

There are many aspects to your piece....those dealing with fatherless children and unappreciated souls.... You've done a good job with seeing the common thread in this walk through life....and a wonderful job of understanding that there is always a way home!

Seldom are words sufficient to honor those who have passed before............would there be a light that could shine enough that we no longer grieve? I think not.

Your words are a fine tribute to a loved statesman. I was a little confused by the <sum> on the last line....but that may just be an editing issue. Regardless, this is excellent work.
