A great many people fall down that rabbit-hole.. Never to again find their way to the surface. Most simply don't want to go back, and lack the strength, and many find it more peaceful to remain in the dark, allowing the vast emptiness to wrap itself around them like a cocoon. And there are those few, as Pandora looks into the now empty box of the plagues unleashed upon the world of men, finds "hope" resting solitary at the bottom, waiting for someone to simply reach down and grab onto it... A fine write dear.
Damned Morgana! This here is an awesome tale. I just signed up today, and this is the 2nd I've read. I found your piece to be a complete book in a single prologue of this woman's journey... Thank you for the entertaining read!
"Overkill" is an apt title for the words written here... Your first stanza alone is adequate, and could stand steady without wavering in the wind. The 2nd stanza thrown into the mix adds a powerful climax to the work. For "silence" is a weapon to only be used in the most desperate of times... ( Well written and expressed! )
