I like the idea of trying to write a Halo prequel. I really do. But I have to point out that Spartans would never say something's "gay". They wouldn't use terminology like that. They talk like soldiers. Have you ever read Halo: The Fall of Reach? That's the actual prequel to Halo with First Strike falling in between Halo and Halo 2. Read that and see how close your prequel really comes.
