This had be cracking up so badly I had tears in my eyes and my husband wanted to know what was so funny...and all I could do was point at the screen...I tried to read it out loud to him but I went into another fit of laughter. He looked blankly at me like I'd gone nuts. HE was an ONLY child. I however had THREE older brothers and an older sister...and oh yes..I could very well identify with the story! Sounded exactly like the same stuff we used to pull on each other. Made me remember the time I paid my oldest brother back for something by using lipstick, toilet paper, and cheap "whorish" perfume...on and in his prized jeep....THANK YOU for making my week...and triggering some long forgotten memories.
First, let me admit, I don't know much about poetry. I enjoy reading it, but I wouldn't catch a glitch even if it bit me.
I enjoyed your poem because you ask some very well put questions that are thought provoking. (At least I hope most of your readers actually ponder some of your questions)All humans need to be reminded of these questions, and perhaps by finding the answers to them, then each person can become better in some ways, and thus make the world a better place. One human at a time. Who knows?

I always love stories and poems about animals, especially those that point them out as protectors and healers of us humans. This was a sweet poem that made it easy to see this magestic, beautiful bird as it flies and keeps watch from on high.

Until I read your article, I never really gave that subject much thought. However, it's true, I usually always read the back blurp before making my reading choice and after thinking about it, I almost always pick books that use the teaser.
I'm excited with the information you have taught and now I'm motivated to put it into practice and try writing a teaser for my story rather than a overall summery. Thank you for writing this and teaching me something new!

Once upon a time there was a beautiful, happy Hen named Penny. Everyday,after laying her eggs the Farmer's Wife would come and take them. One day, Penny hid in a bush near the lake until after the Farmer's Wife visited the hen house. She prepared a nest and laid her eggs there in the bush. Because of that,she finally became a Mama. Until finally,her baby chicks grew to be hens and the Farmer's Wife came to fetch her grown chicks and made Chicken stew for the Farmer.

I enjoyed reading this so much. I can just picture it so clearly with your imagery. I've read that story in the Bible many times, but never really got such a clear picture of it. You make it easy to feel each one's emotions and I want to tear up with Amram as he realizes Jesus did not forget him. That Jesus loved him as well and had restored his health.
