This Poem was based on a picture I saw.
As children we played along the sea floor
We collected treasures from the sea floor
From shells and stones
To human objects lost at sea.

How have the days gone by
When all was quiet and the world seemed still
We snuck out of our shells
And slipped into the night.

Swimming far away from the world we knew
To tell of the secrets
We had learned that day

To the rocky cliff of the bay
Where our time was long
and it did not stray

To stare at the sky
and to dream of things
that no one in our world
would dare to dream

The splashimg of the waves
on the sandy shore,
Lulled us to daydream of things to wish

But being half human and half fish
There is no one better
as best friends
than us who are half fish.
