A wish to escape
One Day

One day I will be free
Of the pain your lies caused

Why do you refuse to see
What it is you have done to me

One day I will be able to escape
To life all my own

No longer can you take
What you didn’t help me to get

One day my tears will dry
No longer will the tinge of salt spoil my mouth

I can say good-bye
To self destructive thoughts threatening to destroy me
