A poem for my daughter
Small eyes that stare into your heart,
Innocence that would make your eyes well
up with tears, She tries to please
everyone and make them smile, She doesn't
need to with me, She is my princess, my
only daughter. With hair so curly you'd
think mommy took her for a perm, Skin so
beautiful, the sun glistens off it as it
were a new coin. Laughing at every dumb
lame joke daddy tells her, Even if she
doesn't like the joke. Always wanting a
kiss before I leave to work, If I don't
give her one, I am sure to hear about the
negligence after I get home, Well my
princess, just because I forget to give you
a kiss, It does not mean I don't love you
or think about you. As a matter of fact
this poem is for you
