My darkest days as a lover of a hospitalized girl who has given up but holds onto me.
Burning eyes
Our smoking gaze
Transfixed by pain
I can't escape to save myself
Because I've got to save her first

I walk away
Just need a break
She grabs my arm
Hazel glass pleads silver-blue
And Hazels pleading guilty

Cold hard hospital floor
Blood pollutes the soulless white
Over and over I pick her up
And become her tourniquet

This times the last
I swear it is
Too tired to act
My hazel love can fall asleep
And I’ll fall right beside her
