When our old cocker left us, we needed another to love. Brandy fit just right.
BRANDY
In loving memory of Kizmet

She came through the door, a mass of wiggles,
from her smiling eyes to her stub tail jiggles.
She pranced around, her joy unbound,
assured by us her home was found.
Her eyes expressed what she could not say,
"Don't tell me, I know, I'm here to stay!"
And stay she did, with open trust
and a love for every one of us.
The joy she offered was heartfelt and deep,
something we knew we would always keep.
She's gone on now, our darling dear.
Saying goodbye was one long tear!
She left us then with quiet acceptance,
her message unspoken, but full of essence.
"Don't leave my space so empty please!
Surely there's one who fits with ease!"
So we looked until we finally found
the one who came with a running bound!
As she dashed in the door with joyous abandon
it was clear to us our choice was not random!
