Remember what that moment of freedom felt like on the very last day of school?
'Twas a day just like the day before,
Not new, not old, just one long bore.
Until the noise from down the street
Invaded my body from head to feet!

First came the low, unrecognized whisper
Which quickly changed to a roaring twister!
"Find shelter!" my mind extolled my body,
"The end is near! Oh Laudy, Laudy!"

So off I ran and dived for protection
Just as the horde moved in my direction.
And from my vantage I watched in dismay
As the moving mass began to play!

The ritual, it seems, had just begun...
Today was the first day of summer fun!
