About what it was like living my lie, trying to be something I'm not.
Lying here on the edge of darkness
Reaching out for someone to save me
Drowning in chaotic emotions
Tears chasing each other painfully

My body, battered and broken
From nights addicted to the pain
Dancing in my shattered dreams
Fighting to control the rain

On the edge of reality
Blackness settles in
My soul is theirs for the taking
My heart is bound in sin

Destroying what’s left of innocence
Every which way I turn
Loving me, it’s maddening
Waiting here to burn

Swimming in my misery
Awaiting the final call
Of one last chance for freedom
Before the angels fall

Lying here on the edge darkness
Reaching out for destiny
Drowning in my sorrows
Waiting for you to come and rescue me
