A halloween poem about the dangers of trusting the wrong person.
By the dark of the night,
In the light of the day,
The boogieman is coming,
Just to take you away

He may not look scary,
He may not look mean,
He may look just like
Sweet old lady Green.

He will offer you candy,
He will offer you pie.
He can lure you with his smile,
He can lure you with a sigh.

He may pretend that he likes you,
All the while telling you, you’re grand.
And before you know what has happened,
He has grabbed hold of your hand.

He will lead you away,
With a promise of much more,
All the candy you can eat,
And every toy that’s in the store.

Just remember what will happen,
If unto him, you should comply,
You will be led away to forever
And in forever, you will die.

He is not the nice person,
That he projects for you to see.
He is cunning and nasty,
And to get you he will scheme.

He will promise you a world,
That has no sorrow and no strife.
But he will conveniently forget to tell you,
That this world will cost you you’re life.

So, remember what I have told you,
And unto him, you will not fall.
When he comes around here looking,
For someone to hear his call.

I bet your probably asking
How I came to know about him.
I will tell just as soon
As I change into another skin.

Would you like some candy sweetie?
How about a piece of apple pie
You say that you are not hungry!
Well now, I feel like I could cry.

Just a little piece will not hurt you
And I promise I will not tell.
That’s right eat up, enjoy yourself,
Cause we do not serve pie in…
