Choosing between going crazy with the one you love, or being miserable without them.
They quarrel and bicker,
Get just a little bit sicker,
Of watching each other standby,
As the other one goes,
And sleeps all alone.
Can’t take that life anymore.

She calls out, she cries.
As he pulls out the drive.
Then stands there,
And watches him leave.

Flashbacks speed by
Like darts stuck in the bull’s eye
I drew around your heart.

The windows stare blankly.
And as it seems lately,
Memories and ghosts
Are all she has kept inside.

They quarrel and bicker,
Get just a little bit sicker,
Of watching each other standby,
As the other one goes,
And sleeps all alone.
Can’t take that life anymore.

Without him she wanders.
Aimless she wanders,
Lost and empty, lonely and scared.
And inside the music is gone.

I’ll never forget you,
Never regret you,
Just wish you could still see me here.

Outside of her sorrow,
There’s always tomorrow,
As he lays on that stiff hotel bed.
And the rest of the world moves on.

They quarrel and bicker,
Get just a little bit sicker,
Of watching each other standby,
As the other one goes,
And sleeps all alone.
Can’t take that life anymore.

I can’t live with you,
But I’m not alive without you.

And I can’t take that life anymore.
