Written as a reaction to breaking someone's heart and how they acted afterward.
With phone calls forgotten,
And memories repressed,
You hound me with accusations.
My lungs squeeze in my chest.
As you dish out more blame,
You tell me I deserve it.
And that there’s dirt on my name.

I know that you’re right,
And my tears flow anew.
I’ve said that I’m sorry,
What more do you want me to do?
My mistakes I can’t fix.
I know you won’t forgive me,
But I have nothing left to give.

If you want nothing to do with me,
Then why are you still here?
You’ve said you’re over me,
But your meaning is unclear.
You’ve exhausted the issue.
So now, you’re moving on.
Just as long as I’ll listen to you.

But are you still mad?
Or are you enjoying my pain?
You spit out my flaws,
As your lips curl in disdain.
Exploiting my crimes,
For the whole world to hear,
But I’ve paid my time.

I know I was wrong,
But your list goes on.
You just like to hear them now,
As comprehension dawns.
By putting me in your place,
You don’t have to deal,
With what you’re too afraid to face.

And you ignore me when I tell you you’re blaming me for everything you’ve done wrong.
