About sitting on my front porch
If I Had the Words

If I had the words
I’d bring you here right now
You would breathe the sweetly scented air
Feel the gentle caress of the breeze like a whispered breath from God
Hear the droning of a bee
The singsong chatter of the birds
See the bluest sky and the dreamy clouds
Rolling through the heavens like great whales in a sapphire ocean
The deep, vibrant green of the trees, the grass, the garden
The black cat curled in the flowers
Eyes slowly blinking as it nods its head serenely and flicks its tail side to side
The precisely perfect yet unplanned harmony of this one moment
The absolute feel of contentment that fills me up inside
Almost… almost making me wish I could stay like this, right here, forever
…If I had the words I would share it with you
But all I have is the memory

*I was sitting on my porch sometime this summer, just enjoying the weather like we bumpkins like to do, and it was so... perfect, that I wanted to share it. But no matter what I wrote, it really couldn't do the actual experience justice, hence the name.*
