yet another old lyric poem of mine
Imagine a world that all you saw was a little room.
Every day you ate slop like gloom.
There were windows all around.
And you couldn’t even say a sound.
You saw and smelled the most fragrant food.
It put you in the best of mood.
Guards patrolled everywhere
Holding the food in bad care.
All you wanted is a single taste.
So you could rid this sorrow face.
If you ever ask for a bite.
You think that you’ll be put into a vicious fight.
Ridiculed and mocked.
They will put you in your place through talk.
They move you room farther away.
So your view is all but astray.
You keep silent for years and years.
Because you couldn’t face your biggest fears.
Later on you will regret.
Trapped within an endless net.
You wonder why you didn’t ask again.
Kept concealed in you pen.
Through all of this waiting for this delicacy.
You miss out on the true story.
You left behind grandest find.
Expecting the slop to stay to the end of time.
