Entry for a sonnet contest
The Winter arrived making not a sound,
Then off came her snow white cape without thought,
And in callous spirit she tossed it down,
So what the chaos and havoc it brought.

All men beware, for her kisses be cold.
The beauty owns she be a harmful kind,
And cares not she, be ye young be ye old.
As icy quick hands freeze your soul and mind.

Deep in her bosom lies a cool dark heart,
In frosty swirls she'll tempt a fool to fun
With cruel intentions she'll play her small part
Within her frosty arms his fate soon done.

'Tis true this season be her lone domain,
But enters soon the Spring to end her reign.
