How it feels sometimes to be shy
She said very little but voiced a whole nation;
mouse-squeaked her wish.
She stared at the void and saw sun within,
they tore at her soul as
she strived to fit in.

She bowed her head low but still she saw all;
pink-flushed her dream.
They smashed the mirror that she saw stars dance in:
biting her tongue til
blood tasted like tin.

The moon pulled at her, drowned her in skies too rough;
Protesting, resisting
hope never enough.

Alice stuck in the rabbit hole.
