These are some of my thoughts of past relationships.

I fell asleep last night thinking of you
My thoughts carried into my dreams with a golden hue
As the sun sets in the west all things must come to pass
And dreams….they always seem to last.

I wake the next day to see the morning rise of that fiery sphere that blinds my eyes
I look to my side to see if you’re near and know in that instant
That memories….they always seem to last.

I drink my coffee and eat my bread lovely thoughts of you still in my head
I subscribe my self to work that day, trying to focus my life
But the tears…they always seem to last.

I stop at midday to breathe and smell the flowers.
The fragrance in the air, the brilliance of the colors, the cute little bow that tied it all together.
And joyful thoughts…they always seem to last.

I walk in town at the close of the day. The restaurant owner puts his meals on display. Dimly lit by candlelight, the ambiance it looks just right. But the bottles of wine do shine so bright
And times of laughter….they always seem to last.
