When love has ended and both sides realize it
Crystallized salt droplets lay upon your face
My gentle kiss and the warmth of my love use to melt the pain away
Irreversible scarring is imprinted in those tears
Love can no longer heal
The only cure is to separate our praying hands
And say goodbye
But before we disappear and become vague memories
Let us give our once strong emotions
And contagious kisses
A proper burial
Goodbye old letters filled with love
Farwell clothes that hold your essence
The epitaph shall read
“Here lies the love of two people
Who knew when to say so long
But their memories shall carry on
In the gust of the wind
And the ripples of the ocean
Just not in their hearts”
