Its autobiographical. A friend died in a car accident.
Way Too young to die, way too young to be gone
How can we know where we’re going if we don’t know where we from?
You were taken against the grain
Why is he gone and all we’re left is pain?
Your childhood should be crying with laughter not crying with pain
Now your family take up the slack and hold the strain
Fighting a losing battle cos your not coming back
No figment of the imagination will ever change that
I just don’t understand this loss
I’ll get my chequebook out and pay the cost
Whatever it takes for you to be back where you belong
Everything just seems so wrong,
An injustice in its highest degree, what will it take for us to see
That life is sacred and for both you and me
Everyone is special and we should be thankful for our blessings
Laugh and smile and stop stressing
We should make the most of our short time in this strange place
Be thankful to see that smiling and same face
Cease everyday as if it were our last one
Live our lives like it were just a fast one
Drink our pint like it were a half one
Salute you and your memory
This is all hell to me, do know if u can tell this is me
The good really do die young, you’ve changed my perspective
A whole new twist on things, u made me corrective
Just wish u were here to see what im up to
Im sure u would be doing the same shit I do
Writing to you was like a postcard, wish u were here
A metaphysical plea for u to be here
If u could only see the tears maybe u would be here
Looking after everyone at ur funeral, all smiles
Remember u as a child
