A poem detailing the difficulties in ransforming the earthy man into the spiritual man
June does bring soft warm winds
Whose velvet fingers do entwine
That conspire to lift me far above
And lend their grace as if a sign
For I at best am a soldier’s son
Having walked this path since time begun
Broken shards of memories long since past
Of dreams, I never can recall

In darkened night do I call your name
To behold a face I never do see
For it's in this moment it’s made quite plain
The one behind the gaze, is me
For I at best am a carpenter’s son
Having walked this path since time begun
I live my life with this promise made
That ever shall I persevere
