Empathy and reassuances to a love one
What good the new found day
When hope does tear its’ jagged hole
Balanced upon the razors edge
I slide in two, each half a whole

Moments spent in idle gaze
Where this leads I do not know
Distant shores beyond this haze
Ever wider does the chasm grow

When hope does hide from my face
When love does seem to leave me
When I suffer in this lonely place,
When shall I be free?

*my reply, “TO MY LADY"

Love be patient, love is kind
I’ll hold your hand as you are mine
Through winters days you are the one
That walks with me to setting sun

Between those times when pain is near
I’ll hold you close and vanquish your fear
Now rest your head upon my chest
For I am here at loves’ request
