BEAUTIFUL STRANGER

I stand by my window and anxiously await
To see you, the stranger I know is my fate
I need your presence in the street below
To chase away my daily sorrow

As the sleeping street starts to wake
My uneasy heart begins to ache
For you are not there, you are late
You have missed our fictitious date

Without you in my life each dawn

Then, there your are, as hope starts to die
My knees go weak and I let out a sigh
You stop, you turn, you walk my way
Maybe this will be the day

I watch you silently from above
Hoping you’ll look up at me, my love
I watch as the wind whips your hair

Then you smile up at me as you reach my door
My lonely heart begins to soar
