A Dream I had once....
lie down and curl up shivering
prepare to face another dawn
hope and joy escape
as my spirit starts to wane

night creatures crawling off to sleep
in a phantasmal bleak parade
emotion filling the air dense
survival keen as a knife blade

as I walk fitfully through the day
a sight brings me to my knees
such a long and lonely rise
sad and stunted grove of trees

purple beauty desert spans
mystic caravan awaits
leading to a cobalt splendor
where the sea and ocean mate

spinning in the world corrupt
ancient halo circle frowns
head dimming cool within the foam
while my soul and spirit drowns
