My first personification poem
Long flowing hair of gold and red,
That gleams brightly in the sun,
Shining light surrounds her
And that light will never go out.
She leaves a trail of shimmering gold,
Across the ground she walks on,
She is kind and fair with a lovely smile,
She will brighten up your darkest day.

She is Sunrise, the queen of light,
Lighter than Dusk and Sunset,
More graceful than Midnight and Morning,
She floats elegantly above the land.
Sunrise will always go and always return,
Never fails to come but always fails to stay
She sails from hills to mountains,
Shore to shore and ocean to ocean.

Her job is to bring with her Dawn,
Who is followed by Midday,
She takes away the moon and stars
And replaces it with the sun and clouds
Sunrise must shed her beautiful light,
And take away the cold harsh darkness,
So the sun can shine in the sky
And the world may be filled with light,

She wears a dress of pure silk,
Which shines like the stars at night,
A crown of pure gold on her head,
A gown of sunlight to lie on the lands,
Everyone marvels at her splendour,
And blinded by her brightness,
She is full of hope, full of light,
A new beginning, she is Sunrise.
