Often reaslising our dreams takes longer than we would like
Time

As I turn to cross the road,
Looking left and right,
Guess I should have looked ahead,
When I walked into night.
The light in front is failing,
But it’s plain for me to see,
The truth came up and hit me hard,
You’re meant to be with me.

I hear that times a healer,
Or so the story goes,
But time is our creator,
For anyone who knows.
Timing isn’t perfect now,
But I think that love can grow,
You feel for me already dear,
But he will never know.

You keep me as your secret,
I wear you tall and proud,
Life isn’t so hard for me,
But you can’t say out loud.
But I’m the fool and that’s the truth,
Cos I took it too far,
I let my heart leap miles ahead,
While he’s your shining star.

So I’ll be the honest friend,
It’s not too hard to be,
To treat you like you’re special dear,
Cos you’re the world to me.
I’ll help you when you’re feeling down,
Pick you up when you fall,
And bide my time til you and me,
Live happily after all.
