Everything will have it's right time and place
Now and Then

I’ve pricked my finger, watched my wound cry,
A thousand tears weeping, flowed forth from my eye,
Cos I’m left in this chamber, denied by the light,
Til my friend comes to find me, and bids me to fight.

She’ll take hold of my soul, bring me to bear,
Force me to look when I fear to stare,
Gaze into my spirit, reveal my truth,
My friend guards my honour though I have no proof.

But now is now, and she’s far away,
But soon that girl comes back, heralds the day,
Her soul sings a chorus, a purity true,
And no more my hiding, playing my own fool.

Cos a friend is what I know, a friend will she be,
Guider, protector, like I am to she,
And though I’m alone now, back here again,
She will lie in my arms, not now, but then.
