For Take My Phrase: Free verse of good versus evil
From a distance, there is only one line
Stretching out across the eternal cosmos
Yet as I approach, it separates slightly
The truth is that two lines exist

On the side of the first line is good
White stretching as far as the eye can see
Innocence and laughter float within
Light almost glowing to the music of joy

The side of the other line is evil
Blackness forever entrapping the horizon
Scorching heat from fire and sin
Pain is the wildflowers that prick within

There is a small area that lies between
It has the soft coloring of gray
The two sections delicately mixed together
Swirled combinations of right and wrong

It is here that I shall lie
In the middle of time and eternity
Not wanting to separate black from white
Dwelling in-between the lines
