A poem about being pushed around, and finally taking your life back.
Like two little kids who are playing pretend,
in the back seat, wating for the drive to end,
not old enough to comprehend,
taking the wheel for themselves.

You get pushed around, and you never push back,
the chains wrapped around you won't give any slack,
your just like a puppet, with no strings attached,
unable to move for yourself.

You realize you have no control,
your living for others, with no life of your own,
there comes a time when you have to let go,
and make everyone fend for themselves.

Taking your life back may not come with ease,
the people that told you it would be a breeze,
are the same ones that had you, and your neck to squeeze,
but you, you're all by yourself.

After a while you may finally find,
that its kind of nice to have your own mind,
the people that hurt you are now far behind,
you're living your life for yourself.
