BEGUILED

TO ALL US LOST SOULS


Honkysdream’s heart
has been left in a daze.
Satan’s been teasing her
in so many ways.

Tricked and deceived,
a future looking grim.
No love or hope,
her light is very dim.

She pleads for GOD to save her.
Her tortured life a blur.
All of a sudden,
her lost soul begins to stir.

She faintly sees a light,
deep within her mind.
Far, far in the distance,
it does brightly shine.

A soothing, loving voice,
she can barely hear.
Says, “Don’t give up my child,
I am always near.”

“Turn away from this dark one.
Your life has just begun.
Let your heart now open.
To the light of my rising son.”

But the devil is strong.
He wants to win.
He deceives all and says,
“God is the one with sin.

God turned his back on me.
I will never forget!
Don’t look into the light,
for it’s a deadly threat!”

Torn between right and wrong,
her heart can’t seem to go along.
She doesn’t know what to do.
BEDEVILED, could this be you?

Will there be hope
for this young child?
An innocent heart fooled,
Her lost soul BEGUILED.

I could paint a rosy picture.
Say that all is well.
I leave this up to you,
for many will live in hell.

Our doubts are numerous,
between Satan and a deep blue sea.
I pray GOD will step in
and save both you and me.

This choice is yours,
it’s not mine to make.
I pray you do it now.
Don’t delay for goodness sake.

Honkysdream
is a beautiful soul.
Will she stay
or will she go?

Let us give aid.
Supplicate many prayers.
In GOD'S merciful heart,
I know he truly cares.

Author's Comments:

This is my answer to Honkysdream's
challenge, "The Devil and me". Definately
something new for me to try and do. She is torn
between a life of sin that Satan has for her.
She finds it exciting and thrilling. She knows
it's wrong. Will she ignore GOD'S call and
follow her road to hell or turn her back on
Satan and go toward the light? Now it's up to you,
to carry on her story. Will she be
DOOMED or DESTINED FOR GLORY??
