Poem for Take My Phrase contest
I cannot find my glasses
That were perched upon my head.
I took them off and laid them down
Some other place instead.

I don’t know why I did that.
They were so handy there.
Whenever I would need them
They were right there in my hair.

Alas, alack, I’ve lost them!
Won’t everybody look?
Because if I can’t find them
I cannot read my book.

Without my reading glasses
I can’t read the cookbook right.
I guess you’ll have to take me out
To dinner tonight.
